Let shoppers send a styled "hint" email to a friend — and attribute the resulting purchase back to the sender.

Overview

Premium Drop a Hint adds a "drop a hint" button to your Shopify product pages. A shopper who isn't ready to buy for themselves can send a beautifully styled email to a friend or partner — and when that recipient comes back and converts, the sale is attributed to the original hint. It's a low-friction word-of-mouth channel for gift-heavy stores that want to capture intent that would otherwise walk away.

Who it's for

Mid-market Shopify merchants in gift-driven categories — jewelry, fragrance, fashion, home goods, anything where a meaningful share of buyers are shopping for someone else. How it works

  1. Install from the Shopify App Store and pick a plan (14-day free trial on every tier).
  2. Add the app block to your product template from the theme editor — the install banner deep-links you straight there.
  3. Customize the email in the admin: rearrange blocks, set fonts and brand colors, tweak the copy, and preview it live.
  4. Go live. Shoppers see a "Drop a Hint" button on every product page; the rest happens automatically — sending, click tracking, and conversion attribution.

Setup typically takes under five minutes and requires no code or developer.

Most "share this product" or "wishlist" apps stop at delivery — they send the email and call it done.
